325 Bakery

I am FINALLY finished with the website for 325 Bakery!!!  I am so happy to finally have something nice for people to look at and see my work.  From now on I will posting pics and updates at 325 Bakery so come take a look!

One Step Closer...

I finally have the new logo and I am super pumped!  This means I am one step closer to having the new website up and running and hopefully to getting my biz off the ground.  Wanna see it?  Here you go...

In other news, I turned in my notice last week at my "real" job so that I can focus on baking full time.  Ahhh!  Although I have worked for several different companies, I have worked for the same client doing (basically) the same job for almost 11 (long and boring) years.  So, the thought of leaving is crazy for me.  I'm not scared, though...  I know it's the right move and I can't wait to get started.  (Short timers has already set in!)

As soon as the website is up I will be switching over to a new blog under the 325 name which I of course will post here so that everyone can come follow. :)

Help!

I need to remommendations for someone to help me with branding/logo/web design.  I've done some research online and haven't really come up with much.  I know how important it is that my site have the right look so I really want to make sure the company I go with can deliver... I'm just not sure how to find the right one.  I don't want to just go with first company that pops up in my google search.  Hmmmm.... What to do??

What's in a name?

Since I started baking cupcakes two and half years ago I have dreamed of opening a bakery.  Unfortunately the security of a regular paycheck, the fear of failure and the just plain don't know how have kept me from moving forward.  Two of the three are still true, but I'm know longer afraid to fail... Okay that's a lie.  Of course I am.  But I'm no longer going to let it stop me from moving forward.  I'm not quite ready to open a bakery yet... I do want to be smart about it and do it the right way... But I'm ready to take the first step towards that goal. 

The first step (at least in my mind) was deciding on a name.  Adventures in Cupcaking is a name that was really just for my blog and I've used it up until now, but I never envisioned it as the name of my bakery.  So after lots and lots of thought, a crap ton of emails and texts with my mom, my sister and friends... I have settled on the name.....

I know... It's different, but if you don't love it immediately just give it a few... You will :)
